There’s something special about Heathen gatherings that, I think is expressed very well in these pictures. I mean, this is moreso a cultural gathering, but my sentiment remains the same. 

The thing I’m impressed about many Heathen gatherings is that at the end of the day, with the tents and campfires in circles and rows… It all starts to resemble a little village. It makes me feel very much at home. It feels right. And that’s one of the things I really love about getting together for the holytides, and festivals, and feasts and the like. It’s the community, realised. Everybody’s got a part to play, nobody’s left out unless they want to be, and all the pieces fit together so nicely. 

I love it.
